Avengers MC is an outlaw motorcycle club founded in Michigan by Ron Swalwell in 1967.
Avengers MC History
The Avengers Motorcycle Club was founded in Michigan by Ron “Big Ron” Swalwell in 1967.
Ron Swalwell was born on 28 November 1943 and died on 8 March 2007. Before founding the Avengers he had a motorcycle club named the Wild Children.
In 1997 Thomas “Big Foot Tommy” Khalil became National President. It was during this period that the Avengers had multiple confrontations with the Iron Coffins MC and Forbidden Wheels MC.
Avengers MC Patch / Motto / Colors
The Avengers patch is focussed on a Greek cross with 4 tridents / pitchforks.
The colors of the Avengers are gold and black.
Member of the Avengers wear a “100%” horizontal diamond. This is believed to signify that they are “100% Avengers”.
The Avengers Motorcycle Club uses the acronym “AFFA”, which stands for “Avengers Forever, Forever Avengers”. This style of abbreviation is used by almost all outlaw motorcycle clubs.

Avengers MC Crime / In The Media
1997/1998 – Avengers MC President Thomas “Big Foot Tommy” Khalil declares war against the Iron Coffins Motorcycle Club and the Forbidden Wheels Motorcycle Club, instructing his club to kill members of the other clubs and take their cuts.
1999 – Avengers MC Ohio member Tom Hakaim pleads guilty to charges of racketeering and attempting to commit a violent crime on behalf of an enterprise. He then testified against fellow members as part of a deal. National President Thomas Khalil is one of those convicted, read the court record with his appeal.
2007 – 8 September, 2007. A fight breaks out at the parking lot of the Red Dog Saloon in Milford, Michigan between Forbidden Wheels and Avengers MC after attending a pig roast hosted by Scorpions MC. It is believed that members of the Avengers were attempting to run the Forbidden Wheels members off the road. Four people are stabbed in the fight.
2009 – 9 June, 2009. Pagans MC National Vice President Floyd B. “Jesse” Moore is indicted on multiple charges, one of which was ordering the killing of an Avengers President, however the murder was never performed.
2012 – 13 January, 2012. Police attend the house of Avengers member Frank Bartels, investing the suspected suicide of his wife. A hand written suicide note was provided to police, which they found suspicious, so they gained a search warrant which was executed on the property. They search finds a stolen .410-caliber pistol, a sawed-off shotgun, a semi-automatic .22-caliber rifle a 12-gauge shotgun as well as his Avengers Motorcycle Club vest. On 12 November, 2013 he pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. on 25 March, 2014 he was sentenced to three years and ten months in federal prison.
2012 – 28 March, 2012. Four members of the Avengers are arrested after shots are fired at a West Virginia State Trooper.
2015 – 27 February, 2015. Four members of the Avengers Motorcycle Club are arrested after storming the clubhouse of Southwest Cycle Club in the 700 block of N. 20th Street in Springfield, Michigan. The Southwest Cycle Club President Matt McMurtie, who claim that they are a non-violent Christan riding group, reported that approximately 26 individuals raided the club with shotguns, pistols, bats, pipes, chains and that their members were thrown through walls, beaten with bats, stomped on and pistol-whipped. 4 members of the Southwest Cycle Club went to hospital.
2015 – 1 March, 2015. Just two days after the Avengers raid of the Southwest Cycle Club in Springfield there is a suspicious fire at the Avengers Battle Creek chapter clubhouse. Thomas Speck, believed to have been the shooter, is charged with being a felon in possession of a fire arm, three counts of wanton endangerment, fleeing on a vehicle and being a fugitive from justice. Delmer Lee Cozart is charged with accessory after the fact, wanton endangerment and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Clyde Frank is charged with accessory after the fact and wanton endangerment. James Morris Jr. is charged with accessory after the fact, wanton endangerment, possession of a concealed weapon and fleeing on a vehicle.
