Road Knights MC History

The Road Knights Motorcycle club was founded in Timaru, New Zealand, in 1979.

In January 1986 the Road Knights Invercargill chapter was established. It is believed that this chapter was established after the British Motorcycle Club (who were not a one percenter motorcycle club) closed down. The members from this club were mainly split between the Road Knights and the Damned MC. There would then be ongoing tension and battles between Road Knights and Damned over the following years. See the “Crime / In The Media” section further down in this article for more information.

In 1995 the Road Knights Dunedin chapter was established.

In 2012 the motorcycle club went to Thailand and opened a chapter in the coastal town of Pattaya, which is approximately 60 miles south of the Thailand capital city of Bangkok.

Road Knights USA was founded next. While details are hard to find, it is believed that this occurred in early to mid 2015. The first of the Road Knights United States chapters was located in Ohio.
