Soul Brothers Motorcycle Club History
The Soul Brothers Motorcycle Club was officially founded in East Palo Alto, California in 1967. Leading up to the founding a small group of friends had been riding together for approximately the 3 years prior.
Making the club rather unique at the time was the fact that they were a mixed race club from the beginning, with a mix of black and white members. Considering that this was the late 1960’s, this was unusual for an outlaw motorcycle club.
The club’s first official run was on Labor Day of 1967, with a total of 57 members participating.
The Mother Chapter for the club would also shift over time, from the early years in East Palo Alto, to Stockton and then Fresno.

The patch used by the Soul Brothers consists of two arms crossing. One arm is black, the other white. This is to signify the unity within the club, regardless of race.
