The Finks MC are a one percenter motorcycle club who were founded in Adelaide, Australia in 1969.
Finks MC History
The Finks MC was founded in Adelaide, Australia in 1969.
The motorcycle club name originates from The Wizard of Id cartoon, where the line “The King is a fink” is often shouted.
Details of the club’s early days are difficult to find, with most information about the club focussing on the years from 2008 onwards, when the Perth Chapter was formed and tensions between the Finks and other clubs rose significantly, often resulting in violence.
In 2008 the Finks MC Perth Chapter was founded by Troy Mercanti, who was previously in the Coffin Cheaters MC and Frank Condo, who was in the Finks MC South Australian chapter. Interstate Finks Motorcycle Club members then came to join this chapter, however they then began dropping off to the point where the Perth chapter membership numbers could be counted on one hand.
The creation of the Finks MC Perth chapter did have the result of causing tension with the Coffin Cheaters MC, to the point where there was a fight in the Perth Motorplex in early October 2010. More information about this fight can be found in the crime/media section later in this article.
In late 2013 the Finks Motorcycle Club Perth Chapter were patched over by the Mongols, as well as the majority of other chapters in Australia.
A list of the Finks Membership Rules were leaked in 2012. These can be viewed in our seperate article, Finks Membership Rules.
Finks MC Patch
The main character on the patch is a depiction of “Bung”, a character from The Wizard of Id cartoon. The colour of the pants on the character differ depending on the state of club membership.
In 2014 there was a redesign of the Finks patch, where there was a transition from the drunk character Bung, to a much more aggressive character. A senior member of the club said at the time that this was done partly to send a message to Mongols MC, who had patched over the Finks Perth Chapter.
